Ruth Ann Stringer

February 23, 1934 – April 19, 2017

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ruth A. Stringer, 83, of North Bend, will be held on Tuesday, May 2nd at 3:00 p.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church, 123 Ocean Boulevard in Coos Bay, with pastor Laura Beville presiding. Private cremation rites and inurnment were held at Ocean View  Memory Gardens  Cemetery in Coos Bay.

Ruth was born on February 23, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to George Boyd and Frances

( Moschelle ) Boyd. She passed away peacefully on April 19, 2017 in Coos Bay.

Ruth was married to Ronald Stringer for 25 years until his death in 1996. They lived in Hauser. Ruth was a former Board of Director member and auxiliary member of the Hauser Fire Department and a former member of the Fraternal order of the Eagles. She spent 44 years as a homemaker and worked in several positions for Bimart prior to that. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, bingo, camping and crossword puzzles.

Ruth is survived by her son, Thomas Stringer of North Bend; and daughter, Cathy Larson and her husband Scott of Myrtle Point.
