We only got to meet Ron and Liz in the later 5 years of Ron's life, but found him to be a kind and gentle man in our interactions. We enjoy having the Cowden family as our neighbors and are so sorry for their loss.

Never met Mr. Cowden, but have had the good fortune to know and work with his daughter, Lisa.
Thanks Mr. Cowden for your gift to students in the person of a very smart, caring and dedicated teacher. Obviously you did an outstanding job as a father, and have now been given the ultimate "well done" by our Lord. Rest In Peace.

My condolences to Ronald Cowden's family for the loss. I personally never knew Ron, but I also grew up in Big Creek, Ca and I have the same motto of God's country concerning Big Creek. My father also worked for So. California Edison. I was familiar with the Cowden name while growing up there in the late 50's and sixties, and there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of Big Creek. I knew a lot of the families there that Ronald would of known too. Again, I am very sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Bradley Kohn, North Bend, Or

Ron was a great long time friend beginning in Big Creek. We introduced our wives to each other at the Old Timers Picnic and enjoyed each other since via face time.
Ron had a mind like a funk and wagnall encyclopedia, which they don’t publish anymore. He seem to know a lot about everything.
We will miss Ron and send our prayers to Liz and Lisa.

Knew the Cowden family at PH #2 , Big Creek, Calif where our dad's worked for Edison Company. I have a cute photo of Ron helping my brother blow out the candles on Larry's 4th or 5th birthday cake.....I had hoped he could attend the Old Timer's picnic at Shaver Lake this past summer....
