Henry was born Jan. 6, 1926 in Sheridan, Arkansas to Walter and Jennie (Moore) Harrington. He passed away Jan. 14, 2018 with family by his side.

Henry grew up on a farm in Arkansas. He joined the United States Navy in 1944 and served his country proudly. He was on the USS Missouri at the time that the armistice ending World War II was signed. Upon returning from the service, he met and married his wife, Eunice Cotton June 22, 1946. They enjoyed 72 years together experiencing life. They loved traveling, going camping, riding motorcycles, and spending time with family and grandkids.

Henry and Eunice moved to Coos Bay in 1950. He worked at various jobs in the area and then went to work for Weyco as a machinist at the Coos Bay shop for 35 years. He was a member of the Elks and Eagles’ Lodge. After retirement, they spent many winters in Yuma, Ariz., playing golf, cards and enjoying life as it came.

Henry was a great husband, dad, and granddad (Pappa). He had a keen wit, dry sense of humor, that knowing him was very special and many will miss him very much.
