Dad, It's been 15 long days since you've been gone. "Wow" how I miss you. So blessed that I got to be by your side during your last months, weeks, days, hours, and minutes for me to tell you I love you Dad, and to hear you in return I love you Daughter. I feel your presence daily whether if it's a picture falling off the wall, seeing a beautiful hummingbird, to hearing my cell alarm go off at 2:30 a.m. the time i had it set to give you your pain meds that morning. I'm trying to be strong Dad knowing we will see each other again. I miss you so, so much and I love you.
Love from your Daughter, Melanie

Hi Grandpa - it is still hard to believe that we will never see you again...I guess I have told myself it isn't a goodbye, but just a see you later. You have left an impression on each one of us left in your footsteps. Your services went so well and saw so many people we haven't seen in such a long time. Rob teases me every now and then when he thinks I am being cheap and calls me Gene...I know you would get a good laugh out of that one! The store is doing well, because I know you would want to know. We think of you often and will see you later. Love, Travis

Dearest Dad, wow where had all the time gone over the years, I know they say the older you get the faster it goes,. Dad I wanted to tell you one more time, how I enjoyed our visit, laughing, telling jokes , scratching your back , with those long nails of mine, watching you eat the fresh crab I got you, and seeing you enjoy your home cooked meals that was made especially for you. Your smiling and funny faces you made, I will miss. Thanks for letting Mel and I try out your new shaver on you , I know it wasn't as good as a close shave, but you didn't complain about the few spots we missed, we just laughed. Dad I will never forget all the things that you've taught me over the years, way to many to list. Dad I'm trying to be strong, and want to continue making you proud of me. So you rest now dad, and look over me, l will be checking in to see how you are, and maybe for alittle advice here and there, if you don't mind that is. Any time you feel like talking I'm here, so until our next visit, I'm sending you lots of love wrapped in hugs and kisses. Love you dad xoxo

My thoughts are with Gene's family. I only spent a bit of time with him on the cruise to Alaska and a few family functions. He was a delight to be around. Hugs and kisses to all!

Grandpa, how you are missed already, but keeping me company in my dreams this past week. You were one of the hardest working men I know, always out in the yard getting work done, taking us camping as kids, showing us how to catch fish and always there to give real advice, love and support. I miss you more than you know, but I'm glad you're not in pain anymore. I'll see you when I get there. I love you, Grandpa.
