February 2, 2021 9:07 PMVern was one of the good guys in high school. He always had a "Hello" and a smile for everyone. Nice to know he had such an interesting and fulfilling life.....and that Monty Page has an outdoor pizza oven!

January 31, 2021 8:48 AMYou are right Dan Butts. Vern was NO shade tree mechanic. Doing things half-way was not in his vocabulary. Vern was our brother-in-law. Kat (his little sis) and I will miss his dry humor, truthfulness, thoughtfulness, generosity to share his skills and quiet ways. To me, he was a mechanical artist. I was always in awe and humbled around him in his shop. The custom car and racing community will truly miss him, but his name and legacy will live on through his rods. Long live "The King".
We miss you Bro.

January 30, 2021 5:59 PMI just found out, I'm stunned. It was an honor to know and be a neighbor to Vern. He was second to none. I'm so sorry Sue. Bless you.

January 30, 2021 9:22 AMI worked with Vern for a number of years in Coos Bay. He was the most thorough and talented mechanical individual I ever worked with. If he did the job it was done right.
