Lynn Hodges Obituary

Lynn Hodges was born October 24, 1943 in Sault St. Marie, Michigan, to Leonard and Vera Hodges.  He sadly passed away May 29, 2023 in Reedsport, Oregon.  He was 79 years old.

Lynn grew up in Sault St. Marie, Michigan an sailed the Great Lakes as a Merchant Marine until he was 18 years old and moved out west to Seattle, Washington, where he was the owner of a mechanic, tire shop.  When he sold it, he moved to Reedsport, Oregon and worked on a fishing boat before he got his job at the mill in Gardiner.  When the mill finally shut down, he worked for Grice Transportation and was the mechanic for the school buses until he finally retired.

Lynn married the love of his life, Sandra in 1997 in Reedsport, Oregon.

If you knew Lynn, you would always see him driving his classic 56 Ford Victoria, which he absolutely loved.  He was always looking for a good time with family and friends, to go dancing and cruising around, hoping to find a little action about town.  Lynn was always looking to lend a helping hand during hunting season and just about anything if anybody needed it.  He was a great mentor and always had the best advice, definitely old school.  When it came to hockey, now he was a Red Wing fan at heart, for sure!! He loved hanging out with his daughter, Cindy and playing pool any chance they had.  (It was always a tie).

He loved his family very much.  Lynn left behind his wife, Sandra Hodges; daughter, Cindy Fletcher and son-in-law, Bryan Fletcher.  He had 2 stepsons, Rick and Rob Drushella; grandchildren, Brittany Goll, Logan Hodges and Myles Fletcher, Hunter and Ricky Drushella; great grandchildren, Piper Goll, Emerson and Emmett Fletcher, and Beau Drushella.

Lynn had his last party in September, but this legend will live on in his daughter’s eyes, known as her HERO.

Preceded in his death was his mother and father; and his son, Jeff Hodges.
