Lois A. Poole

A private family service will be held for Lois Anne Poole, 76, of Coos Bay. Private cremation rites were held at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay.

Lois was born April 2, 1944 in Gold Beach to Dale "Spud", and Anna Marie Johnston. She passed away June 16, 2020 at her home in Coos Bay.

Lois grew up in Coos Bay. She attended and graduated from Marshfield High School in 1962 and worked several jobs throughout her life. Lois married William “Jack” Cox, but later the couple divorced and she married Charles Poole.

Lois loved the outdoors and always had a good time camping and gardening. She also enjoyed all kinds of critters and raising them.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Lois is survived by her husband, Charles Poole of Coos Bay; brother, Ed and wife, Karen Johnston of Bandon; daughters, Karen Burks of Coos Bay and Rebecca Shelton of North Bend; son, Robert Cox of Redmond; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
