A graveside service will be held for Judy L. Gauntz, 83, of North Bend, on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 63060 Millington Frontage Road in Coos Bay.
Judy was one of seven children born to Roy Francis Davis and Geraldine Mae ( Allen ) Davis in Clearwater, Nebraska on May 3, 1942. She passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025 in Medford, Oregon.
In 1956, Judy’s family moved to Gold Beach, Oregon where she attended school and graduated in 1959. Shortly after graduation she met and married her first husband, Robert M. Wright in 1961. They settled in Coos Bay and had three children, Tari Michelle, Dennis LeRoy and Paula Kay. They divorced in 1982. In 1989 Judy met Wayne A. Gauntz and they were married on August 5, 1994.
While residing in Oregon, Judy worked for Georgia Pacific, McKays and Roseburg Forest Products before beginning an enjoyable and full retirement, where she loved bowling, traveling and spending time with family.
Judy is survived by her sisters Connie, Patricia and Pamela; brother, Richard; her children, Tari and Ken Little, Dennis Wright, Paula and Jim McMillan; stepchildren, Doug and Delinda Gauntz and Don Gauntz; grandchildren, Amanda and Trae Collins, Shawn and Sara McMillan, April and Kevin Rhodes, Jenny and Shawn Smith, DJ Nelsen, Emalie and Brian Lolik, McKenzie and Jacob Godley, Katie Gauntz, Caleb Gauntz, Hannah Gauntz and Noah Gauntz; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Gauntz; sister, Cheryl; brother, Roy; and daughter-in-law, Wynema.
