On November 09, 2021 at the age of fifty-eight in the City of Sisters, Oregon, JOHN MARK vanKRIEKEN, also known as "Dutch" went home to be with the Lord after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. His light shined brightly as he went through life as a lover of the outdoors and a lover of people. Born in Silicon Valley and raised in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California he became an established Equestrian. He loved all sports especially fishing and hiking. He was top soccer player in high school earning him a college scholarship. He served in the US Air Force and later became Redmond, Oregon's top car/RV salesman up to his illness. He is survived by his former spouse, Ruth Barrios; his son Kurt vanKrieken, his son Kyle and Daughter-in-law Meggan vanKrieken; his mother Virginia and step-father Robert Sterling; his father Johannes and step-mother Carol vanKrieken; his brother Michael and sister-in-law Mona vanKrieken; his two step-sisters Lezlie Anderson and Jessica Schubach; his Uncle Albert and Aunt Laurie Montalbano; and his Aunt Anna and Uncle Dave Gaskin. John fought a good fight stayed the course and victoriously resides in the Kingdom of God. His bright light now shines in the heavens.
