Jerry Isley, age 70, of North Bend, OR, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on March 29th, 2026, following a second stroke, surrounded by his loving family. He was much loved and will be greatly missed. A man of unwavering faith, Jerry lived his life as a testament to the grace of God. Over the many years, he and the family were blessed to attend College Park Community Church, Hauser Community Church, Skyline Baptist Church, and Shoreline Community Church.
He was born in Cottage Grove, OR, the second oldest and only boy in a family of 5 children, attended Kennewick High School (WA) and graduated in 1974. He graduated from Warner Pacific College and married Janet Morin (Isley) in 1976. They lived in Portland for two years until Jerry moved them to North Bend where they raised their three sons. Jerry is known for working for several employers in the area, including Safeway, Wonderbread, Reser's, Oroweat, and retiring recently from Safeway's fuel station.
Jerry's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Janet, of 49 years. He leaves behind a legacy of faith through his family, including his three sons and their wives: Ken and Angela Isley of North Bend, OR, Kevin and Karen Isley of North Bend, OR, and Kory and Whitney Isley of Reedsport, OR. He was the proud and doting Papa to 13 grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Michelle, Madison, Michael, Jonathan, Megan, Makenzi, Macie, Maxton, Carter, Cooper, and Colter. His favorite shirts were his many PAPA t-shirts with all their names.
Preceded in death by his parents JC Isley, Ida Isley, and brother-in-law Jim Rieger. Survived by his step-mother, Rachel Isley; four sisters and their husbands, Terri (Isley) Teague and husband Jim, Lori (Isley) Doe and husband Don, Janet (Isley) Rice and husband Marc, and Shona (Isley) Rieger. Survived by brother-in-law and sister-in-law Barry and Judy (Morin) Youso and by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Jerry's life and his homecoming will be held at 1:30pm, Saturday, May 23 at Shoreline Community Church, 1251 Clark Street in North Bend.
