Jane Anne Tayler Hogan was born January 12, 1936, in The Dalles, OR to Rev. Edward Ernest and Beryl Cleo (Rodgers) Tayler. She passed away February 6, 2026 in Coos Bay, OR.
Jane grew up in The Dalles and graduated from The Dalles High School in 1954. She then attended Oregon State University, graduating in 1958 with a degree in Home Economics. She was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She married Thomas Alan Hogan on August 23, 1958, in The Dalles. They moved to Junction City, OR, where both were teachers at Junction City High School. A few years later they moved to Gold Beach, OR, where they started their family. A move to Albany, OR, in 1966 resulted in a "home base" for the next 56 years.
Jane enjoyed sewing, reading, traveling, tending her rose garden, knitting, camping and home decor. She loved being a mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her three children, Beth (Ted) Bennison of North Bend, OR; Jeff (Sandra) Hogan of Thousand Palms, CA; Mary Stanford of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Tayler (Makinzie) Hogan of Wichita, KS; Catherine (Rueben) Madrid of North Bend, OR; Jonathan (Katie) Bennison of Coos Bay, OR; Molly Stanford of Tucson, AZ; Lia Stanford of Tucson, AZ; and Jesse Stanford of Honolulu, HI. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Lainey Hogan of Wichita, KS; Kelsea Hogan of Wichita, KS; and Lila Madrid of North Bend, OR, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Robert "Bob" Tayler, and her loving husband of 42 years, Tom, in 2000.

A memorial service was held Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Emmanuel Episcopal Church followed by a graveside service Friday, February 20, at 2:00 PM at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in The Dalles, OR.
