Gloria Gale Salsman

A memorial service for Gloria Gale Salsman, 88, of Coos Bay, will be held at noon, Saturday, September 21 at Hauser Missionary Baptist Church, 69193 Wildwood Drive in North Bend.

Gloria was born August 7, 1936 in Ventura, California to David Elbert and Vera Maley (Bailey) Griffin. She passed away September 19, 2024 in Coos Bay.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Lewis and husband, Tom; granddaughters, Deanne Rice and husband, Jon and Michelle Winfield and husband, Brent; daughter, Cheryl McKern; granddaughter, Jessica and husband, Samuel; daughter, Lori Jacobsen and husband, John; grandsons, Matthew Jacobsen and wife, Yang, Douglas Jacobsen and wife, Ana and David Jacobsen; son, Monte Salsman and wife, Annette; grandson, Alex Salsman; granddaughters, Kelsey and Kira Salsman; grandson, Jason Janzen; 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Del Salsman; parents, Dave and Vera; daughter, Trudi Edmeades; grandson, Christopher McKern; son-in-law, Thomas McKern.

Private inurnment will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
