Frank “Doc” Faulkenberg
Doc passed at the age of 78 on February 19, 2026, in North Bend, Oregon. Born in Glendale, California. Preceded in death by his parents Emmet and Marjorie Faulkenberg and brother Emmet Faulkenberg Jr.He is survived by his son, Spencer Faulkenberg.
Frank was an Army Veteran and served as an Aircraft Mechanic during the Vietnam War. After his service he attended college to study Audio/Visual Arts. He went on to have a long career in the television industry and received two Emmy Awards for his work with ESPN for his work as Videotape Operator. The crew he worked with became his lifelong friends.
Doc was a rare breed, a phenomenon of a man that lived hard and played harder but was also a lover of cinema and the arts. You could even find him acting in plays in North Bend. Doc could talk Shakespeare and Motorhead in the same breath. He was a lifelong fan of the blues and rock music. Doc will be missed and was loved by many friends. “He was a man, take him for all in all. We shall not look upon his like again.” As Doc would say, “Play it loud!”
A celebration of life will be held and announced soon. Friends and family are encouraged to sign the online guestbook at www.coosbayareafunerals.com and www.theworldlink.com. Arrangements are under the care of the North Bend Chapel, 541-756-0440.
