A private graveside for Elizabeth “Beth” Steenbock, 67, of Coos Bay, was held at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay. A memorial service will be held at 3pm, Saturday, February 7 at Christ Lutheran Church, 1835 N 15th Street in Coos Bay.
Beth was born in Renton, Washington and moved to the Oregon coast as a young child. She learned to play guitar as a teenager and enjoyed music and singing with her own playing. Beth married her first husband, Frederick Haluska in 1984. Sadly, Fred passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident in 2003.
Through mutual friends, Beth met Mark Steenbock and they were married in 2007. Her interests in later life included sewing and art crafts. She was especially fond of anything with butterflies. Beth was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Coos Bay and had a lifelong belief in God’s promise of eternal life through faith in her Savior, Christ Jesus.
She passed away peacefully at home on a Sunday morning. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Steenbock; son, Branden Haluska; daughter, Carinda Haluska; granddaughters, Franchesca and Penelope Buck.
