Edwin L. Bell

In loving memory of Chief Master Sergeant (Retired) Edwin L. Bell (North Bend), who departed this world on May 29, 2026 at the age of 93.  Ed leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will be long remembered by family and friends, including a distinguished Air Force career.  During that career he was nominated to serve as Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, and served as Cadet Wing Sergeant Major at the United States Air Force Academy where he mentored many of our nation’s future general officers.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Jean, his son Eddie and his daughter Beverly; and he is survived by his daughter Patricia (Joe), his son Daniel (Melissa) and his son Robert (Lori), as well as nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

CMSgt (Ret) Bell will be remembered at a funeral service and buried at the United States Air Force Academy at a date in the near future.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations can be made to a charity of your choice that benefits the men and women who serve in our nation’s armed forces.
