Ed’s Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics made him the manager of a co-op before publishing “The Farm News” newspaper in rural Ohio. His writing led him to meet his wife, Gail, a newspaper editor and to their marriage August 2, 1986 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Coos Bay, Oregon.
As a writer and author Ed published more than a dozen fiction and non-fiction books. His most popular and successful series was “The Seeds of Christianity,” by E.G. Lewis. Raised Catholic, Ed returned to the Catholic faith in 2008. Always humble throughout his life, Ed quietly involved himself in aiding, supporting and even beginning numerous charitable organizations. He preferred to do so without any fanfare or recognition.
