Dorothy Helene Kruse Irvin

A combined memorial service for Dorothy Helene Kruse Irvin, 93, and her daughter, Diane Irvin, 65, of Coos Bay, will be held at 10 am, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 400 Highland Avenue in Coos Bay, with Reverend Patti Hale, officiating. Private inurnment was held at Sunset Memorial Park in Coos Bay.

Dorothy was born November 12, 1927 in Coos Bay (Marshfield) to George and Emily D. (Blake) Kruse. She passed away March 5, 2021 in Coos Bay.

Dorothy was raised in Coos Bay, graduating from Marshfield, class of 1945. She married Hugh Irvin December 27, 1947 and together, they owned and operated Irvin Jewelers in Coos Bay until retiring in 1986.

Dorothy was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, past president of PEO. She enjoyed traveling, camping and painting. She was a lifetime resident of Coos Bay and dearly loved spending time with her family.

Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter in law, Roger (Tammy) Irvin of Grand Junction, Colorado; granddaughter, Taryn Irvin of Grand Junction, Colorado; sister, Marian Gazeley of Corvallis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh in 1998 and her brother, John Kruse.

Memorial contributions in Dorothy’s name may be made to PEO or Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
