On Wednesday, May 18, 2022, Deanne Patrice Chase “Dee” passed away due to health complications at her home in Coos Bay, Oregon, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 11, 1955 to Morris and Virginia Lemen in Sitka, Alaska.
Dee was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, wife, and friend. It's hard to find the words to describe her because there's just not many that can encompass her fully. Deanne was the most beautiful, kind, loving soul you had ever met, she'd help you in any way she could whether that was a shoulder to lean or cry on, a hot meal, a place to crash, or whatever the circumstance may be. Anyone that has ever met her has loved her within the first encounter, and you couldn’t blame them, there was and is a lot to love about Dee.
She made you feel like she had known you your entire life, and even if you left for a while and came back, it'd be like you were just picking up where you had left off. More often than not she'd make you feel like you were family and never would treat you differently, Dee had a lot of acquired family who loved her dearly and called her mom or grandma as well. Some of those people to name a few were Tabitha, Kelly, Creager, Lyman, Kilmer, and Shannon.
Some favorite memories have been how when she laughs or smiles, you can't help but to just join in. She's always been a force to reckon with and is one of the strongest women anyone’s ever met, if she had an opinion on something, you'd know it.
Thank you, Deanne, for giving us your all and being there through the thick and thin, we've all been so fortunate to be alive at the same time as you and soak up all the wisdom, strength, optimism, and love you had to give.
We will forever miss you and we love you more than could ever be expressed. You were an amazing woman Deanne, and you will live on through us all. We can't wait to hear your laugh again.
Deanne is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Chase; two daughters, Danielle Palacios and her husband, Jaime and Nicole Rodriguez and her husband, Jose; grandchildren, Fastelk, Jasmine (and husband, Joshua), Damon, Roberto, Jose Jr., and Analicia; her father, Morris Lemen and wife, Margaret; and many siblings; as well as many other family members, dear friends, and her sweet dogs, Jake and Luna, who will sadly miss her.
She was predeceased by her mother, Virginia Branda and sons, Dustin Chase and Raymond Chase Jr.
