Dean Lawrence, 67, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Born and raised in Oregon, Dean made his living in road construction, putting in late nights and long hours building the roads that bring people home all over the state.
He loved his family and knew how to make his time with his children and grandkids special and memorable. He loved to be loud, to tell stories, and to crack jokes.
Dean could often be found in the garage, fixing up and painting classic cars with his brothers and friends or renovating one of their properties.
Those who knew Dean, knew a man that valued hard work, getting things done, taking care of the important things, and especially, his family.
He is survived by his wife Jan, his three children: Aryn, Kayla and Tyler, his 12 grandchildren, his brothers, Dave and Darrell, his sisters, Sandy and Kandy, his uncles, Bill and Clifford, his aunts June and Dana, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Scott, and his brother Randy Cotton.
A Celebration of Life for Dean will be held on March 14th, at the Bay Point Landing Pavilion in Coos Bay at 1:00pm.
