Alice Weathers Obituary

Alice Elizabeth Andruss was born February 5, 1963 in Springfield, Oregon, to Elizabeth and Martin Andruss. She passed away May 8, 2019 from cancer at her home in Lakeside. She was 57.

Alice grew up in Reedsport, where she graduated from Reedsport High School in 1981. She married Daron Weathers July 2, 1983 and along with him, owned and operated Lakeshore Lodge in Lakeside. Alice loved the outdoors, nature, animals, people and in particular, her family. She especially looked forward to annual trips to Mexico with family and friends and loved the sun.

A creative person by nature, Alice enjoyed making beautiful jewelry, most of which she generously gave to those special to her, but her first love was her family and German Shepherd dogs, having trained and shown them when she was young. Alice was seldom seen without her two dogs.

Alice was kind, generous and selfless to a fault, which is how she made all those close to her feel valued and loved. She will be greatly missed.

Alice is survived by husband, Daron of Lakeside; sister, Helen (Andruss) Parker of Portland; brother, Michael Andruss and wife, Eva of Alaska; and brothers in law and wives, all of Oregon, Mo and Lois Weathers of Clackamas, Darwin and Penny Weathers of Central Point and Lakeside, Gary and Robin Weathers of Shady Cove; and sister in law and husband, Denise and Jeff Kiesow of Reedsport; as well as special nieces, Leah Kiesow of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Lisa McAlister of Corvallis. She was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by parents, Martin and Elizabeth.

Arrangements are under the care of Coos Bay Chapel, 541-267-3131.
