Vivian Spencer Obituary

A private family memorial will be held for Vivian Ruth Spencer, 88, of North Bend. Cremation rites were held at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay.

Vivian was born Jan. 23, 1930 in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Arthur Rudolph and Estella (Bunting) Lanz. She went to be with the Lord May 21, 2018.

Vivian loved her family, music, playing piano, camping with her husband, and enjoyed her involvement in her church. ‘Till the very end, she displayed a feisty sense of humor; making all those around her smile.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to South Coast Hospice, 1620 Thompson Road, Coos Bay, OR 97420.

She is survived by her five children, Steve Rankin and his wife, Lila, Connie Randall, Sherrie Cumming and her husband, Steve, Ken Stocker and his wife, Ronda, and Lynn Scott and her husband, Scotty; as well as 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, William D. Spencer.
