A memorial service for Thea Jean Chickering, 67, of Winchester Bay will be held at 2pm, Saturday, February 9 at Coos Bay Chapel, 685 Anderson Avenue in Coos Bay, with pastor Don Berney of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, officiating. Private cremation rites will be held at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay.
Thea was born April 4, 1951 in Portland, Oregon. She passed away February 1, 2019 at her home in Winchester Bay.
Thea worked as a butcher at Albertsons and Safeway in North Bend for many years.
She enjoyed flowers, her pet fur babies and spending time with her family.
Thea is survived by her son, Richard Lyn Lohrie and wife, Tanya of Portland; daughter, Trista Renee Lohrie; grandchildren, U.S Army Private Second Class, Travis Lohrie, stationed in Camp Humphreys, South Korea, Taylor and Carson Lohrie of Portland; sister Vicki Dubisar and family; brother, Bruce Howley and family; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Warden; mother, Cora Jean Howley; brother, Stanley Warden; husband, Jay Chickering and grandson, Tyler Lohrie.
