At her request, no services will be held for Lulu Mae White, 92, of Coos Bay. Private cremation was held at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay.
Lulu was born Feb. 21, 1927 in Fresno, Calif., to Charles Ames and Susan Mae (Wareham). She passed away March 4, 2019 in Coos Bay.
Lulu and Melvin were married 38 years and lived in Arago. Melvin worked at Roseburg Lumber Company and Lulu was a cook at Arago School. She loved to sew, do hand work and cook.
She is survived by her daughter, Marta Montgomery of Coos Bay; sons, Mark and wife, Diane White of Myrtle Creek, and Paul and wife, Sheila White of Nebraska; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leslie “Jack” Ames, Leroy and wife, Goldie Ames of Myrtle Point; and sisters, Leora Anderson of Bandon and Linda Tretter of Coos Bay.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; son, Brian; one sister; and one brother.
