A memorial service to celebrate the life of Leeda M. Spence, 74, of North Bend, will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1290 Thompson Road, with Pastor Jon Strasman presiding. A private burial was held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Coos Bay.

Leeda was born on May 1, 1943 in Marshfield, Oregon to Archie H. Spence and Ethel ( Granstrom ) Spence. She passed away at her home in North Bend on January 21, 2018.

Leeda graduated from North Bend High School and was an avid fan of the North Bend Bulldogs. She was a longtime resident of North Bend and worked providing child care. She was also an active member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.

Leeda is survived by her sister, Nancy Klein and her husband Noel of Lake Oswego; nephew, Sam Klein of Lake Oswego; niece, Catherine Klein Hannon and her husband Mike of Lake Oswego; niece, Erin Klein Lynch of Concord, MA; great-nephew, William Lynch of Concord, MA; and great nieces and nephews, Molly, Connor and Declan Hannon of Lake Oswego.
