A memorial service to celebrate the life of Joanna “Patsy” Holder, 84, of Lakeside, will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 23 at Hauser Community Church, 69411 Wildwood Road in Hauser, with pastor Bill Moldt presiding.  Joanna was laid to rest , next to her husband, on Saturday, Sept. 9th at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Oakland.

Joanna was born on Oct. 18, 1932 in Oakland to John D. Snyder and Rosa (Pichette) Snyder.  She passed away peacefully, into the arms of the Lord, on Sept. 3, 2017 at her home in Lakeside due to complications of Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Joanna was raised in Oakland.  She graduated from Oakland High School, class of 1950.  Where she met the love of her life, her high school sweetheart, Pinky Holder.  They were married on Nov. 11, 1950 in Reno, Nev.

Pinky and Joanna raised six children together; Kristine, Pinky Jr., Kathy, Karen, Kimberly and Patricia.  The family traveled to many places while Pinky served in the U.S. Army. Joanna spent many years as a devoted homemaker.  Later, she worked for Bay Area Hospital and retired in 1994 following 18 years of service.

Joanna loved to bowl.  She bowled for over 50 years and also served for 25 years as secretary for the BAH Bowling League.  She was a long-time member of the Lakeside Women’s Club and a member of the Hauser Community Church since 1984.

Joanna will be remembered by all who knew her as a devout Christian with a kind and loving soul who loved and served others her whole life.

Joanna is survived by her son, Pinky Jr. and his wife Debbie of Sutherlin; daughters, Karen Holder of Portland, Kris Holder, Kim Stringfield, and Patty Fox and her husband Mike, all of North Bend; son-in-law, Fred Teasdale Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Joanna was preceded in death by her husband, Pinky Holder Sr.; daughter, Kathy Teasdale; father, John Snyder; sister, Joyce Jacks; brother, John Snyder; and mother, Rosa Young.
