Tried to call Frances today, January 16, 2016 and didn't get a reply.  Searched on the internet and found out she had passed away.  So sorry to hear this, she and I worked together at the Coos County Extension office in the 1960's.

I have happy memories of working with Frances and the Oregon Extension Service.  Her whistled Goldilocks and the Three Bears story was enchanting to see.  I enjoyed the sing-alongs where she plalyed the autoharp.

She also helped me with information to re-do a cane chair that we still use in our house.

She was a great person and an exemplary Extension Home Economist.

May you have treasured memories and God's blessings to the family.

I worked with Frances for many years. I always looked forward to teaching in Coos County, because that meant I would stay with Frances and Russell. It was so enjoyable and the food was great. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Frances was a delightful lady with a strong personality and a caring soul. My family and I moved to Coquille in 1989 where I took over the position with the Extension Service that Frances had filled for many years. She was so kind to our children and such a fun friend to see at Extension homemaker gatherings. After reading her obituary I was reminded that we worked in neighboring counties in Minnesota as well! I hope to emulate her zest for life in my upcoming retirement. I'm sure you all have wonderful memories of this feisty lady's life. Sending our condolences.

Frances was a dedicated Extension home economist who shared her knowledge and talents with others for many years.  She was an excellent travel companion and always had a interest in people and places.  She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
