A memorial Mass will be held for Dolores Rose Havens, 83, of Coos Bay, at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2250 16th St., in North Bend. Father Karl Schray will officiate. A memorial potluck will follow in the church bingo hall.
Dolores R. (Gasiorowski) Havens was born on June 9, 1925, in Cleveland, OH to Walter Gasiorowski and Stella (Owsiany) Gasiorowski. She passed away on Oct. 12, 2008, in Coos Bay at the age of 83. Dolores lived in the Bay Area for 37 years. She belonged to the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in North Bend, where she was active in organizing bingo for the past five years. She worked and managed the restaurant at Gussies in Empire for 18 years.
Dolores is survived by two nieces, Marilyn of Bend, OR and Karen of California, that she loved dearly and enjoyed being around. She is also survived by her friend of 42 years, Mary Goodrich, who will miss her dearly. Dolores has seven children, nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many dear friends that will miss her.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dolores' name to a charity of one's choice. Flowers may be sent to the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Coos Bay Chapel, 267-3131.
