Catherine "Katy" (Jensen) Courtright

A celebration of life potluck for Catherine "Katy" Elise (Jensen) Courtright, 66, of Coos Bay, will be held at noon, Saturday, June 30 at Allegany Community Center, 10361 Highway 241. Private burial will be held at Allegany cemetery.

Catherine was born Sept. 21, 1951 in Astoria, to Alf and Margaret (Norton) Jensen. She passed away peacefully June 13, 2018 in Allegany.

Katy graduated high school and went on to be a secretary and bookkeeper for more than 40 years. Some of these places were Sauce Brothers and E.S.D. Katy loved gardening and her roses. She resided in Allegany for more than 30 years and loved the Millicoma River and community. She enjoyed watching and identifying the wild birds in her yard during her last few years.

She is survived by her son, Steven Baxter and wife, Amy Baxter; grandson, Steven Jr. Baxter and wife, Brittany; great-grandchildren, Bella and Emmitt Baxter; grandson, Cody Baxter; daughter-in-law, Melissa Gilmore; grandsons, Tony, Nathan and Jeremy Gilmore; great-grandsons, Aiden, Caleb, Conner and Carter Gilmore; great-granddaughter, Willow Gilmore; as well as dear friends, Kathleen and Jerry Lua.

She was preceded in death by both her parents; stepson, Bradley Gilmore; and love of her life, Charlie Hill.
