A memorial service to celebrate the life of Willard “Dean” Canfield, 56, of Coos Bay, will be held on Saturday, February 24th at 1:00 p.m. at the Refuge Church of God, 625 W. Commercial Street in Coos Bay, with Pastor Tom Osbourne officiating. Private cremation rites were held at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay.

Dean was born on July 17, 1961 in North Bend to Carroll D. Canfield and Judy A. ( Johnson ) Canfield. He passed away on January 23, 2018 in North Bend.

Dean graduated from North Bend High School, class of 1979. He worked at PakMail, Roseburg Forest Products and other places over his working years.

Dean is survived by his father, Carroll Canfield of North Bend; Mother, Judy Prindiville of Eugene; Brother-in-law, Jerry Jaehnig; Nephew, Jerad Jaehnig; Niece, Shaelan Jaehnig; Stepfather, Terry Prindiville; and many extended family members and friends.

Dean was preceded in death by his sister, Denise Canfield; grandparents, Doris and Willard Johnson and Helen and Vint Canfield; as well as several aunts and uncles.
