A memorial service for Kenneth G. Jury, 78, of Coos Bay, will be held at 1pm, Saturday, October 28 at the First Baptist Church of Port Orchard,2308 Sidney Avenue in Port Orchard, Wash. with pastor Craig Smart, officiating. Private cremation rites were held at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay.

Kenneth was born Febr. 2, 1939 in Lily, S.D. to Otillia Kranzler and Kenneth R. Jury.  He passed away Sept. 25, 2017 in Coos Bay.

After graduating from college, Kenneth joined the U.S. Air Force and was always very proud to have served his country.

Ken met, fell in love and married his first wife, Margie.  They had four children; Rick, Randy, Ron and Cindy Desimone and husband Geovanni; five grandchildren; Kyle, Tyler and Conner Jury and Dominic and Maxium Desimone and three great-grandchildren.  Ken loved all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.

Ken and his family settled in Wash., to raise their children.  He held several jobs, but his favorite was manager of the Pacific Uniforms Outfitting Co.  He was with the company until the owner retired.

Before Marge passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, they had settled in the Salem area.

Ken met and fell in love with Ann Roane in 2010.  They were married in 2012 and Ken joined his new family in Coos Bay.  Ken was very loved and respected by all of his new family.  He became a mentor to Ann’s children and a very proud and loving “Pappa Ken” to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ken had a great love for his Miatas through the years.  Some of his happiest times were the long and short trips in the Miata with Ann, and of course with the top down.

Ken loved working in the yard and keeping it looking beautiful.  He also loved taking long nature walks with Ann, Kobi, Chico and Bela.

Ken was a very gentle, loving and caring person.  He was greatly loved and is greatly missed!

Ken is survived by his wife, Ann Jury; children, Rick, Randy, Ron, and Cindy; his five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; Ann’s children, Mika Johnson and husband Greg, Rodney, Rocki, and Richi Roane; Ann’s grandchildren, Skia Whitcomb and husband, Jeff, Tia Young and husband, Lane, Tad Roane, Alora Howard, and Ty Roane; great-grandchildren, Bella and Beaux Young, and Aria Howard; siblings; his specially loved sister, Shirley Edwards and husband Robert; brother, Don Jury and wife Linda; as well as many very much loved nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister and first wife, Margie.
