A celebration of life for Kenneth Edward Jones, 54, of Coos Bay, will be held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Coos Bay Chapel, 685 Anderson Ave. in Coos Bay, with pastor Gary Gelnette of Coast Life Church, officiating. Private cremation rites were held at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay.
Kenneth was born July 2, 1963 in Decatur, Ill., to Charles and Marilyn (Hartman) Jones. He passed away Feb. 6, 2018 in Coos Bay.
Ken attended Toledo High School, later moving, alongside his wife, to Texas, where he loved to fish on the Gulf Coast. His job as an industrial painter took him to various places around the country, but he decided to move to the Coos Bay area to be closer to family.
Ken loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing and going camping as much as he could. He also enjoyed golfing, gaming and collecting knives and swords. He could often be found goofing around with family and friends, or watching his beloved "Gilligan’s Island", re-runs on TV. He will be dearly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Ken is survived by his daughter, Miranda and husband, Jon Arms of Lebanon; sons, Ronald and wife, Courtney Jones of Albany and Christopher Scott Jones of Coos Bay; 10 grandchildren; mother, Marilyn and husband, Kenneth Hamm; sister, Betty Hamm; brother, Charles B. Jones Jr.; and significant other, Pat Clark.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Burt Jones.
Arrangements are under the care of Coos Bay Chapel, 541-267-3131.
