Jeremy Scott Hackney

A chapel memorial service for Jeremy Scott Hackney, 45, of Coos Bay will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Coos Bay Chapel 685 Anderson Ave. with Pastor Don Berney of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, Coos Bay officiating.
 
Jeremy was born February 6, 1973 in Bakersfield, CA to Mike and Brenda Hackney and died March 18, 2018 near Yachats as a result of a car accident. He grew up loving to play football and baseball as a kid. He went to North High school in Bakersfield and graduated in 1992. After high school he joined the Navy. He went to boot camp 2 days after graduation. While in the Navy he married his wife and had 3 handsome boys. He loved to go hunting and fishing with his kids and parents. He has 2 beautiful grandchildren that changed his life and 2 daughters-in-law that he loved to death because he never had one.

He is survived by his mom, Brenda and father Mike of Waldport; his loving wife, Stephanie of Coos Bay; his 3 boys, Robert (kayla) of Missoula ,MT, Jared of Coos Bay and  Zach ( Hannah) of Coos Bay;  sister, Kendra of Coos Bay; brother, Josh of Ellensburg, WA. He is also survived by Brenda’s mom, Ruth; Mike’s mom, Bonnie, Stephanie’s mom, Elaine and step- father Vernon, Stephanie's father, James of Cut Bank, MT; 2 grandchildren, Carter and Jaxson of Missoula, MT and niece, Hannah of Waldport.
