Jayne L. Irvin Johnson

June 16, 1960 – December 1, 2017

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate the life of Jayne L. Johnson, 57, of North Bend. Private cremation rites were held at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay.

Jayne was born on June 16, 1960 in North Bend, Oregon to James L. Johnson and Madeline “Jackie” ( Fellows ) Johnson. She passed away at her home in North Bend on December 1, 2017.

Jayne graduated from North Bend High School, class of 1978. While attending North Bend High School she was a dedicated and competitive tennis player. She won many awards and placed at the state championships several years in a row.

Jayne married Roger Irvin in 1984. They later divorced. She worked for Merrill Lynch for several years. She returned to the coast in 1997, where she and her longtime partner, Steve Ansbro, resided until her passing.

Jayne was an avid reader of biographies. She also loved to travel. She had a very gentle soul and a very special connection with animals, especially her four dogs.

In addition to her longtime partner, Steve Ansbro, Jayne is also survived by her brother, Randy Johnson and his wife Cindy; sister, Tammy Andrews of Creswell; sister, Karen Franklin of North Bend; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Jayne was preceded in death by her parents, James Johnson and Madeline “Jackie” Rosenquist.
