A chapel funeral service for Howard Wills Jr., 92, of Paris, will be held at noon, Tuesday, November 21 at Agnew Funeral Home, 128 W. Caldwell Street in Paris. A graveside will follow at 2pm at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, 1479 County Road in Jacksonville.

Howard was born February 12, 1925 in Paris to Howard McCann Wills Sr. and Nellie Moss (Wilkerson) Wills. He passed away October 28, 2017 in Coos Bay, Oregon.

Howard served in the United States Army during World War II from the Solomon Islands, Guadalcanal, Philippines and to Japan (at the end of the war). He was chosen as an Honor Guard for General Douglas Mac Arthur and his family. After the war, Howard graduated from the University of Missouri and was in the reserves at Camp Carson in Colorado.

He settled in California with his wife, Bea, and three children, Cathe, Ted and Gary; where he worked as a real estate broker.

Howard is survived by his children, Cathe Moore and Gary Wills.
