A celebration of life for Grace Irene Ford, 74, of North Bend, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11 at Shoreline Community Church, 1251 Clark Street in North Bend, with pastor Mike Barnard, officiating.

Grace was born March 22, 1943 in Bell, Calif. to Herman Clyde Flowers and Gerane (Bradshaw) Flowers.  She passed away Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017 in Coos Bay.

Grace graduated from Sonora High School 1961.  She married William James Ford in Torrance, Calif. April 28, 1962.  They moved from Los Angeles, Calif. to Cascadia in 1965 and a couple years later moved into Sweet Home.  Grace retired from Weyerhaeuser after 20 years in 2005.

After her husband’s death, Grace moved to North Bend in 2010.

She was a member of Shoreline Community Church since 2011 and of Sweet Home Community Chapel for several years before moving to North Bend.

She was an active member of TOPS group 300 of North Bend and the Red Hats Society.  Grace was an avid golfer most of her adult life.  She also played softball and was on the bowling league in Sweet Home.  She loved to watch her kids in all their sporting events and loved the sport of baseball.  Grace loved to play cards and games and spend time with friends and family.

Grace is survived by sons, Charlie Ford of Vancouver, Wash. and David Ford of Sweet Home; daughter, Kelly Conrad and son-in-law, John Conrad of North Bend; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson, and sister, Elsie Lomeli of California.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Grace Ford’s name to Life Change Church mission fund, 200 Ackerman Ave. Coos Bay, Oregon 97420.
