Best known as “LITTLE GRAMMIE”, Georgia York O'Dea, 97, was born in
> Somerville, Mass. and passed away peacefully at home with her family in
> North Bend.

> A survivor of the depression and wife of a World War II veteran, she
> learned never to waste and worked hard all of her life.  She would sew and
> mend clothes for the family.  She made beautiful prom dresses and outfits
> for us. She loved gardening and making us sprout sandwiches and carrot
> juice, teaching us all to eat healthy.
>
> She moved from back east, across the country, to make a better life for
> her family.  She loved Oregon and always dreamed of building a log cabin.
> She always put her friends and family first and never missed a birthday or
> a holiday.  She included and encouraged everyone. She loved to show us she
> could still dance a jig at age 97!  She was loved by all!
>
> Georgia is survived by her daughter, Judy Morris and husband, Tom Morris
> of North Bend; grandchildren, Dr. Bill and Kelly King of Coos Bay, Kim and
> Rick Abbott of North Bend, Loren and Michelle Jones of Los Angeles,
> Calif., Kirk and Brandy Jones of Winston, Keith and Raini Jones of Idleyd
> Park and Michelle Patrick of Idaho; 26 great grandchildren and 27
> great-great grandchildren.  She loved to get five generation pictures of
> each family when they came to visit.

> She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen E. O’Dea and her infant
> son Stephen O’Dea.

> Arrangements are under the direction of Myrtle Grove Funeral Service Bay
> Area, 541-269-2851 and private cremation rites will be held at Ocean View
