Cherri Lynn Cordova

July 12, 1960 – December 20, 2017

At her request, no public services will be held for Cherri Lynn Cordova, 57, of Coos Bay. Private cremation rites were held at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay.

Cherri was born on July 12, 1960 in White City, Oregon to Clyde R. Jones and Gladys ( Avery ) Jones. She passed away in her home on December 20, 2017 in Coos Bay, with her husband by her side.

Cherri was the middle of three children that included sister, Jeannie, and brother, Darrell. The Jones family moved to Coquille where Cherri went to school. Cherri met the love of her life, Leland “Lee” Cordova after he returned from service in September of 1977. They married within a year, on June 25, 1978 and quickly began a family, welcoming three children, Jason, Chasity and Daniel into their loving home. Cherri stayed at home raising the family, while Lee worked in logging. They eventually made their home in Coos Bay.

Cherri had a passion for gardening, with beautiful plants all around the home. She also loved family camping trips, hunting with Lee, outdoor activities, and to be surrounded by friends and family.

Cherri is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Leland Cordova of Coos Bay; son, Jason Cordova of Coos Bay; Daughter and son-in-law, Chasity and Richard Denton of Coos Bay; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Lori Cordova of North Bend; and five grandchildren, Braden, Carter, Victoria, Ivan and Kendall; and numerous extended family members.
