A memorial service for Brittany Love, 28 of Coos Bay, will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 18 at Coos Bay Chapel, 685 Anderson Ave., in Coos Bay with pastor Don Berney, of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, officiating. Private inurnment will be held at Ocean View Memory Gardens in Coos Bay.

Brittany was born March 2, 1989 in Modesto, Calif., to Robert and Cheryl Love. She passed away July 12, 2017 in Coos Bay.

She moved to Coos Bay when she was 16, where she attended Marshfield High School. She worked as a med tech for two years at Bay Crest Memory Care. Prior to that, she worked as a caregiver for five years at Ocean Ridge Assisted Living. She spent many years lovingly caring for residents. Her job was rewarding and sometimes came with heartache but it was her caring nature that kept her working with the elderly.

Brittany was the mother of two young sons. They were her entire world.

In 2016, Brittany received devastating news that she had a rare and aggressive form of cervical cancer. She faced her diagnosis with a positive attitude and held onto hope even through the very end. She didn't want to leave her boys. Being their mom was what gave her strength and she wanted to prove to everyone that she would fight to stay with them as long as she could. And she did just that. She fought hard. Never once was she bitter from the cruel and unfair circumstances. She handled everything with grace.

Brittany was such a unique and special person. You could look into her eyes and see her beautiful soul shine through. People were drawn to her. Time never defined her friendships. Those who met her felt an instant connection. And whether you spent a lifetime being her friend or just moments, she was someone that you could honestly and wholeheartedly feel connected to.

She is survived by her sons, Joshua and Tyler Cadwallader; parents, Robert and Cheryl Love; brother, Jonathan Love; sisters, Cally Summers, Meranda Oakes and Faith Love; grandparents, Floyd and Laura Smith, Richard Love; uncle, Timothy Smith; aunt, Stephanie Smith; cousins, Nick Love and Olivia McLane; one nephew; three nieces and her sons’ father, Andrew Cadwallader.
