Angel was born Oct. 26, 1961 in McAuley hospital, Coos Bay, the daughter of Richard J Giorgis and Mary Jo Marie (Sawtelle) Giorgis.  Angel passed Nov. 4, 2017, at her Grants Pass home with her husband, Kevin by her side, following a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Angel attended Coos Catholic Grade School in Coos Bay, and graduated from Marshfield High School in 1979.  Both during and after high school Angel worked as a dishwasher, soon becoming a waitress at the old Courtel (now Red Lion) restaurant in Coos Bay, leading up to a lifelong career in the hospitality industry.  Angel later left the Courtel to work for the Portside Restaurant in Charleston.  After her high school years Angel, chose vacations traveling mostly around the West Coast, including Hawaii.  Angel then decided to pursue what she jokingly referred to a real job and decided to go back to school.

Angel pursued a college degree from Southern Oregon State College, graduating with dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and Business Management in 1986.  It is during her college days, where Angel first met her husband, Kevin Williams.

After college, Angel rejoined Red Lion in Elko, Nev. as a cocktail waitress.  Angel loved both the desert and the alpine country.  Angel was especially fond of the Elko and Ely Nevada areas.  In the early 1990’s, Angel moved to Arizona taking on a hospitality management position at the Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson.  In 2004 Angel married her best friend, Kevin, settling in Milwaukie, Ore., before moving to Grants Pass.

Angel loved her life.  She enjoyed traveling (46 of 50 states), was an avid reader, including a good ghost story occasionally.  She loved trying to solve murder mysteries and exploring paranormal events.  She was also a devoted animal lover, especially dogs.  She could often be found spending time enjoying her second best friend, Lucas Fonzarelli, a loving terrier/schnauzer mix.  She also loved to open her home to family and friends, cooking delicious meals, and making them all feel the loving embrace of hearth and home.

Angel is survived by her husband of 13 years, Kevin Williams of Grants Pass; father, Richard Giorgis of Coos Bay; brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Kimberley, of Coos Bay; stepchildren, Missy Smith and John Williams of Portland; nieces and nephews, Jordan and Teresa Torst of Reedsport, Gabrielle Giorgis of North Bend, Victoria Giorgis of Bremerton, Wash., Gatlon Giorgis and Emily Foster and baby, Elizabeth Lynn of Coos Bay; aunts, Carole Shaw and Lynn Boudreau, both of Grants Pass; cousins, Sharon and Gary Costa of Coos Bay, Brent Smith of Coos Bay, Krista Smith Snook of Eugene, Deanna Janick, Randi Ritsch, Kathy Mahr, Courtney Clark, all of Grants Pass, and Don Don Williams of Coeur d’Alene Idaho.  Angel is also survived by her very special friend and college roommate, Elizabeth Macdonald of Vancouver, Wash.
